XXIV. Ques. How doth Christ execute the office of a prophet?
Ans. Christ executeth the office of a prophet, in revealing to us, by his word and Spirit, the will of God for our salvation.

답 : 그리스도께서 선지자의 직분을 수행하시는 것은 우리의 구원을 위한 하나님의 뜻을 말씀과 성령으로 우리에게 계시하는 것입니다. * revealing, 현재진행형을 사용하는 것을 주목해야 합니다.
Q. 1. What doth Christ reveal to us as a prophet?
A. Christ, as a prophet, doth reveal unto us the will of God for our salvation.
Q1. 그리스도께서 선지자로서 우리에게 어떻게 계시되었습니까?
A. 선지자로서 그리스도께서 우리에게 우리 구원을 위하여 하나님의 뜻을 계시하십니다.
Q. 2. What is meant by the will of God which Christ doth reveal?
A. By the will of God which Christ doth reveal, is meant the whole counsel of God, or whatever God would have us to know, believe, and do, in order to salvation.
Q2. 그리스도께서 계시하시는 하나님의 뜻에서 무엇을 의미합니까[알 수 있습니까?]?
A. 그리스도께서 계시하시는 하나님의 뜻은 하나님의 전체 [구원] 경륜, 혹은 하나님께서 우리구원의 서정, 믿음, 구원을 아는 지식 등을 의미합니다[알게하십니다].
Q. 3. Whereby doth Christ reveal unto us the will of God for our salvation?
A. Christ doth reveal unto us the will of God for our salvation-- 1. By his word: "These things are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that, believing, ye might have life through his name." -John 20:31.
2. By his Spirit: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things." -- John 14:26.
Q3. 그리스도께서는 우리 구원을 위하여 하나님의 뜻을 우리에게 어떻게 계시하십니까?
A. 그리스도께서 우리 구원을 위하여 우리에게 하나님의 뜻을 계시하시는 것은
1. 그의 말씀으로 하십니다. “오직 이것을 기록함은 너희로 예수께서 하나님의 아들 그리스도이심을 믿게 하려 함이요 또 너희로 믿고 그 이름을 힘입어 생명을 얻게 하려 함이니라”(요20:31)
* 말씀으로 하심은 어린양께서 세우신 사자의 입에서 나오는 말씀으로 이해해야 합니다(계 1-3장).
2. 그의 성령으로 하십니다. “보혜사 곧 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내실 성령 그가 너희에게 모든 것을 가르치시고 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것을 생각나게 하시리라”(요14;26).
Q. 4. Which is the word of Christ, whereby he doth reveal to us the will of God?
A. The whole book of the Scriptures of the Old, and especially of the New Testament, is the word of Christ. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly." --Colossians 3:16.
Q4. 우리에게 하나님의 뜻을 계시하시는데, 그리스도의 말씀은 어떤 것입니까?
A. 구약의 모든 성경과 특별히 신약이 그리스도의 말씀입니다. “그리스도의 말씀이 너희 속에 풍성히 거하여 모든 지혜로 피차 가르치며 권면하고 시와 찬송과 신령한 노래를 부르며 감사하는 마음으로 하나님을 찬양하고”(골 3:16).
Q. 5. How are the whole Scriptures the word of Christ, when but a small part of them was spoken by his own mouth?
A. The whole Scriptures are the word of Christ, forasmuch as the prophets and apostles, and other penmen of the Scriptures wrote not their own word, but the word which they had from the Spirit of Christ. "Of which salvation the prophets have inquired, searching what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ, which was in them, did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ," etc. --1Peter 1:10-11.
Q5. 어떻게 성경 전체가 그리스도의 말씀이며, 그 중에 한 부분에서 그의 입술의 말씀은 어떠합니까?
A. 성경 전체는 그리스도의 말씀입니다. 선지자와 사도들 그리고 다른 성경의 저자(penmen)는 자기 말을 쓴 것이 아니라, 그리스도의 영으부터 말씀이 기록되었습니다. “이 구원에 대하여는 너희에게 임할 은혜를 예언하던 선지자들이 연구하고 부지런히 살펴서 자기 속에 계신 그리스도의 영이 그 받으실 고난과 후에 받으실 영광을 미리 증언하여 누구를 또는 어떠한 때를 지시하시는지 상고하니라”(벧전 1:10,11).
Q. 6. Is the word of Christ, without his Spirit, sufficient to teach us the will of God for our salvation?
A. The word, without the Spirit of Christ, is insufficient to teach us the will of God for our salvation, because it is by the Spirit of Christ only that we are enabled to discern and receive the things which are necessary to salvation. "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." --1Corinthians 2:14.
Q6. 그리스도의 말씀에 그의 영이 없다면 우리의 구원을 위한 하나님의 뜻을 가르치는 데 충분할 수 있습니까?
A. [그렇지 않습니다]. 그리스도의 영이 없는 말씀은 우리의 구원을 위하여 하나님의 뜻을 우리에게 가르치는 데 불충분합니다. 왜냐하면 구원에 필요한 것들을 식별하고 받아들일 수 있는 것은 그리스도의 영으로만 가능하기 때문입니다.
“육에 속한 사람은 하나님의 성령의 일을 받지 못하나니 저희에게는 미련하게 보임이요 또 깨닫지도 못하나니 이런 일은 영적으로 분별되기 때문이라”(고전 2:14).
Q. 7. Is the Spirit of Christ without his word, sufficient to teach us the will of God for our salvation?
A. Christ, by his Spirit without his word, could teach us the will of God; but he doth not, neither hath promised now to do it, since the whole will of God necessary to our salvation is revealed in his word: the word of Christ without his Spirit cannot, the Spirit of Christ without his word will not, teach us the will of God for our salvation.
Q7. [그렇다면] 그리스도의 말씀이 없는 그리스도의 영이 우리의 구원을 위해 하나님의 뜻을 우리에게 가르치는데 충분합니까?
A. [그렇지 않습니다] 그리스도께서 말씀 없이 성령으로 우리에게 하나님의 뜻을 가르치실 수 있지만, 그는 그렇게 하지 않으십니다. 우리의 구원에 필요한 모든 하나님의 뜻이 그의 말씀 속에 계시되었기 때문에 그는 말씀 없이 가르치심을 말씀하지 않으셨습니다. 또한 성령 없는 그리스도의 말씀은 우리의 구원을 위한 하나님의 뜻을 가르칠 수 없습니다. * 말씀 없는 그리스도의 영은 형성되지 않습니다. 그럼에서 상정시키는 이유는 거짓 교사의 가르침이 있기 때문입니다. 매우 조심스럽게 그리스도인일지라도 은사 측면에서 고려해야 합니다. 그리스도인이지만 은사가 없는 자가 은사 행함을 동일하게 주의해야 합니다.
