천주교 공로개념

로마 카톨릭의 공로에 관한 어휘​

1. 적정공로(適正功勞, Condign Merit, meritum de condigno, 등가적 공덕) : 댓가를 지불하고 얻은 공로, 균등공로

2. 재량공로(載量功勞, Congruous Merit, meritum de congruo, 합의적 공덕) : 고해성사의 보속행위로 인해서 상을 주시는 공로

3. 여분공로(Supererogatory Merit, thesaurus meritorium: 剩餘功勞 잉여공로) : 하나님이 요구하시는 것보다 더 잉여 선행을 해서 남는 공로

여분공로 혹은 잉여공로는 천주교 공로개념에 구체적으로 드러나지는 않지만, "성인의 통공(聖人~通功, 라 Communio Sanctorum)"과 연관된 개념입니다.

* Condignity(적정) and Congruity(협력) (meritum de condigno and de congruo) : meritum de condigno 적정공로, 초자연적 은총에 근거한 공로, meritum de congruo(congruent merit) 재량공로, 협력적 공로, 자연 은총에 근거한 공로.

등가적 공덕(meritum de condigno)은 그리스도의 십자가에 못박힌 공덕이고, 합의적 공덕(meritum de congruo)은 은사로 행한 공덕으로 분류할 수 있겠습니다. 천주교 공로개념은 토마스 아퀴나스의 <신학대전> 2권 1부분, 114논제, "공덕론(功德論)"에 있습니다. 신학대전은 총 512개의 논제, 2669개항으로 이루어져 있다.

Condign merit(meritum de condigno: 적정공로) is an aspect of Catholic theology signifying merit with the dignity of Christ. 그것은 신에게 보상을 정당하게 요구할 수 있는 행위가 지닌 특성(condign merit), 또는 신에게 보상을 받을 가치가 있는 행위가 지닌 특성(congruent merit)을 가리킨다.

In his 1532 Commentary on the Sermon of the Mount, Martin Luther criticized Catholic doctrine concerning condign merit. He noted that while the reward one gains from condign merit is much greater than that of congruent merit, the sort of good works said to attain each type of merit is similar. Luther thought it did not make sense that the two types of merit could be gained by similar actions when the benefit of condign merit is so much greater than the benefit of congruent merit. In some formulations of Calvinism, condign merit(적정공로) is not needed because Jesus' atonement is a congruent merit(재량공로) given by God. 위키페디아에서 칼빈주의 일부에서 예수의 속죄를 재량공로로 이해하는 경향이 있다고 제시했습니다. 루터는 이 두 공로 개념을 비평하며 거부했습니다. 루터는 5세기부터 전해 내려온 gratia generalis grata data(값없이 주어진 보편적 은총)과 구원해 주는 은총의 구별, 또 meritum de congruo(자연을 적절히 사용해서 얻는 공로)와 meritum de condigno(초자연적 은총을 근거로 하는 공로)의 구별을 이용하여 반펠라기우스주의적 진술들은 새로운 의상을 입고 나타났다고 평가했습니다. 루터 당시에 가브리엘 비엘(Gabriel Biel, 1418-14955)의 “facere quod in se est(자질대로 행함)” 을 루터가 배격했습니다.
