자연과 영계의 주관자 예수

 

예수님께서는 풍랑을 잔잔케하시고, 가다라 지방의 두 사람에게 들어간 귀신을 쫗아내신다.

 

23. 배에 오르시매 제자들이 좇았더니

Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. (NIV)

And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.(KJV)

24. 바다에 큰 놀이 일어나 물결이 배에 덮이게 되었으되 예수는 주무시는지라

Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.

And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves : but he was asleep.

25. 그 제자들이 나아와 깨우며 가로되 주여 구원하소서 우리가 죽겠나이다

The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We're going to drown!"

And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us : we perish.

26. 예수께서 이르시되 어찌하여 무서워하느냐 믿음이 적은 자들아 하시고 곧 일어나사 바람과 바다를 꾸짖으신대 아주 잔잔하게 되거늘

He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

27. 그 사람들이 기이히 여겨 가로되 이 어떠한 사람이기에 바람과 바다도 순종하는고 하더라

The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!"

But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

   ◎ NIV는 ‘lake’로 KJV는 ‘sea’로 번역하였다(24절). KJV 번역에 24절에서 a great tempest in the sea가 주님의 말씀으로 a great calm이 되었다.

 

   ◇ 예수를 따르는 제자들 예수님의 말씀을 듣고 따르는 제자들이 탄 배에 풍랑이 일게 되었다. 비록 예수를 따라나섰지만 위기에 봉착하자 자신의 위급한 상황에 당황한다(25절). 반면 주님은 풍랑 속에서 주무신다(24절). 우리가 환란에 봉착했을 때에 자신의 구원자의 이름을 부르는 것에부터 시작해야 한다. 제자들이 비록 풍랑에서 당황했지만 자신의 구원자를 불렀다.

    어부였던 제자들이 나사렛 예수에게 배에서 자기의 목숨을 구원할 것(25절)을 요청한 것은 전적인 자기포기가 있다. 이는 누가복음 5장에서 베드로를 부르시는 주님께서 보여준 놀라운 이적에서부터 생각할 수 있다.

    예수님께서는 비록 제자들이 믿음이 적었지만 그들의 요구를 들어주셨다. 이는 꾸짖지 않으시고 후히 주시는 하나님의 은혜이다. 믿는 자는 두려움이 없어야 한다(26절). 그리스도인의 유일한 두려움은 하나님뿐이시다. 주께서 바람과 바다를 잔잔케 해주셨다.

제자들은 바람과 바다를 잔잔케하는 예수님의 능력에 감탄을 하였다(28절). 제자들이 구했던 것은 무엇인가(25절). 예수님께서는 제자들에게 자신이 창조주의 권세를 행하는 하나님이라는 것을 보여주셨다. 예수께서는 갈릴리의 풍랑을 말씀으로 조용하게 하실 수 있는 창조주 하나님이시다. 또한 우리의 마음의 풍랑도 잠잠케하실 수 있는 창조주 하나님이시다.

 

28. 또 예수께서 건너편 가다라 지방에 가시매 귀신 들린 자 둘이 무덤 사이에서 나와 예수를 만나니 저희는 심히 사나와 아무도 그 길로 지나갈 수 없을만하더라

When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way.

And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

29. 이에 저희가 소리질러 가로되 하나님의 아들이여 우리와 당신과 무슨 상관이 있나이까 때가 이르기 전에 우리를 괴롭게 하려고 여기 오셨나이까 하더니

"What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?"

And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

30. 마침 멀리서 많은 돼지 떼가 먹고 있는지라

Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding.

And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding.

31. 귀신들이 예수께 간구하여 가로되 만일 우리를 쫓아 내실진대 돼지떼에 들여 보내소서 한대

The demons begged Jesus, "If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs."

So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine.

32. 저희더러 가라 하시니 귀신들이 나와서 돼지에게로 들어가는지라 온 떼가 비탈로 내리달아 바다에 들어가서 물에서 몰사하거늘

He said to them, "Go!" So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water.

And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine : and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

33. 치던 자들이 달아나 시내에 들어가 이 모든 일과 귀신들린 자의 일을 고하니

Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men.

And they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.

34. 온 시내가 예수를 만나려고 나가서 보고 그 지방에서 떠나시기를 간구하더라

Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.

And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus : and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.

 

   ◇ 가다라에서 두 광인에게 들린 귀신을 쫓아내신 예수님 예수님께서 가다라에 있는 군대 귀신들린 두 사람을 쫓아내신다. 그런데 본문에서는 두 사람에 대한 관심보다 예수께서 매우 강한 귀신을 한 말씀 ‘가라’로 쫓아내신다. 그 귀신들이 사람에게서 나와 수 많은 돼지 떼로 들어가 바다로 들어가 몰살된다. 이러한 상황에서 가다라 도시의 사람들은 예수께서 자기의 지역에서 나가기를 간구한다.

     예수님: 영적 권위자. 예수님께서 말씀으로 바람과 바다를 잔잔케하셨고, 또한 말씀으로 수 많은 귀신들을 잔잔케하셨다. 제자들은 예수님에 대해서 기이히 여겼고, 가다라 지방의 사람들은 예수님을 자기들의 도시에서 내어 쫓았다.

영적전투는 육의 영역이 아닌 영적 영역이다. 예수께서 제자들에게 영적 싸움을 명령하셨다. 영적싸움은 예수의 권세, 예수의 이름으로 가능하다. 혈과 육의 싸움이 아니고, 어둠의 정사와 권세와의 싸움이다. 그래서 영적싸움은 기도의 자리에서 일어날 수 있다. 기도시간에 영적승리가 있어야 한다.
